Precision Automation® Introduces New President

With over six months at the new Headquarters location in Cinnaminson NJ, Precision Automation® has experienced plenty of changes. Relocating from the longtime home in Cherry Hill, the organization has shifted the majority of manufacturing operations to its facility in Clarksville, IN called pāco manufacturing (just outside of Louisville, KY). Concurrent with this logistical move at the beginning of 2024 was the appointment of Sales Manager – and 3rd generation family member – Daniel F. Rexon as President of the corporation.

Precision Parts Co

Back in 1946, Fred Rexon Sr. started what was then called Precision Parts Company: a small machine shop based out of Haddonfield, NJ. Through years of hard work, Fred Sr. continued to grow & expand Precision’s operations as his team assembled a larger customer base. The 1950s saw enough demand to justify a second location in southern Indiana, and then in the 60s a facility upgrade to a large-scale machine shop in Cherry Hill, identifiable from the NJ Turnpike highway.

Over the decades, the Precision brand has grown as the management team targeted new sales channels for automation solutions to help businesses operate faster and more efficiently. In the 1990s Fred Rexon Jr. assumed the duties of President & CEO. He steered the organization into a new era, keeping up with the rapid technology innovation within the automation industry while serving loyal customers who have benefitted from the core business of machine shop services and custom-designed solutions. A more recent company focus on advances in material handling, robotic integration, and labeling systems warrants the Precision team to maintain a forward-thinking approach to the company’s future developments.

(L to R) Fred, Dan, and Chad Rexon in November 2016

Born & raised in Haddonfield NJ, Dan had essentially grown up with the business, visiting his father and grandfather at the company as a child, and as a teenager he began working in the shop during the summer immersing himself in business operations. After graduating with a business degree from the University of Delaware in 2010, he jumped headfirst into the marketing and sales team, where he gained valuable experience from the numerous mentors he worked alongside. Rexon began fostering lasting partnerships with customers by providing multifaceted automation solutions that boosted efficiency for their respective operations.

Following his appointment as Sales Manager in 2019, Dan has been driven by the desire to unite the sales teams in both New Jersey and Indiana. The corporate sales force can utilize the joint resources of the two locations to better serve all customers. The perpetual challenge of finding new business remains, and Rexon has encouraged his team to apply several different modern methods in an effort to reach target audiences.
