Precision Achieves New ISO Quality Certification

Precision Automation® would like to announce that it has achieved certification to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System, reflecting the company’s long-standing commitment to quality, transparency, and customer satisfaction. The certification is valid for the next 3+ years and is provided by Orion Registrar, Inc.

Certificate – ISO 9001 2015

The International Organization for Standards, or ISO, 9001 is the world’s most popular and most commonly used standard for quality management systems. It is through these best practices that we, as an organization, strive to reach the goals of meeting all requirements of our customers, and other interested parties involved in our activities. The ISO certification also ensures that quality is consistently improved throughout our business, and that from the top of management on down to our summer interns- we seek to generate consistent quality products and services.

Previously modified in 2008, the new 2015 version of ISO 9001 puts more focus on input & output, and strongly encourages risk-based thinking to determine challenges in the management of business processes. The standard emphasizes proper assessment of articles & specifications involved in the production process, and clearly checking whether good results come from it: which our team has already been diligently accomplishing. Likewise, the idea of risk-based thinking is mentioned much more than the previous standard, but it is not a new concept to our personnel- who have excelled at identifying risks and opportunities in everyday functions.

“I am so grateful that all of my coworkers here at Precision Automation® have taken this model of excellence to heart.” says Quality Manager Mike Menaquale. “Not only does this add value for our customers but it helps us keep all of our processes in line and functioning properly. It is a testament to our organization that we are able to put together a first class team through all of our departments.”

This certification is completed not by one individual or a small team- but rather, through the efforts of each and every one of the employees at Precision Automation®. As each individual executes the tasks and responsibilities associated with his or her role in our organization, we identify the risks involved in each of our respective processes, and understand that actively detecting them will assist the quality management of the organization as a whole.
